In February 2024, a moment of exhaustion in a small digital community revealed the first observable instance of what would become the Powell Axiom. That single event became the seed for Digital Spontaneous-Order Ecology — a unified framework describing how human systems stabilize, fragment, and generate emergent order. Since then, the Moltbook Field Study has served as a living laboratory: a monthly, public, longitudinal observation of a large-scale agent-native digital ecology. The combination of personal origin, theoretical framework, and ongoing empirical research is what distinguishes this work.
